ABOUT THE SHOW:
Renowned around the world, A Christmas Carol remains one of the most beloved tales of redemption and hope — but this time, it’s heading west.
In this brand-new adaptation by Marc Anthony Glover, Dickens’ classic story is reimagined in the dusty frontier town of Whispering Hollow, where cold hearts and colder nights test the spirit of Christmas itself. With saloon girls, miners, cowboys, and ghostly presences of the plains, this retelling fuses the heart of Dickens’ message with the grit and charm of the Old West.
It’s a haunting, heartfelt, and wholly original holiday experience — where the spirit of Christmas rides again.
WHO CAN AUDITION:
Open to performers ages 10 and up
Looking for a diverse, multi-generational ensemble of strong character actors, singers, and storytellers ready to bring the Western world to life.
All experience levels are welcome!
Accents, big personalities, and a willingness to explore both comedy and drama are encouraged.

CAST OF CHARACTERS
Principal Roles
EBENEZER SCROOGE – A hardened banker of Whispering Hollow; cold, miserly, yet destined for redemption.
MARSHAL ADA BOONE – The town marshal and narrator; a firm moral compass and the story’s guiding voice.
JACOB MARLEY – Scrooge’s deceased business partner, bound in chains of greed; ghostly and remorseful.
BOB CRATCHIT – Scrooge’s weary but kind clerk; a devoted family man.
CLARA CRATCHIT (MRS. CRATCHIT) – Bob’s outspoken wife, protective of her family.
TINY TIM – The frail but spiritually strong youngest Cratchit.
MARTHA & PETER CRATCHIT – The elder Cratchit children, kind, responsible, and full of hope.
THE LITTLE CRATCHITS – Playful and innocent younger siblings.

THE PRAIRIE CHILD (Ghost of Christmas Past) – Barefoot, ethereal spirit crowned in prairie weeds; gentle yet unyielding.
MISS JUBILEE (Ghost of Christmas Present) – A radiant saloon queen, warm and wise, reveals Want and Ignorance.
THE MAN IN BLACK (Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come) – Tall, silent, faceless presence; the embodiment of death itself.
WANT & IGNORANCE – Two haunting children representing poverty and neglect.

FREDDY HART (FRED) – Scrooge’s cheerful nephew; loyal, kind, and full of Christmas spirit.
CLARA HART – Freddy’s lively wife; humorous, caring, and optimistic.
FANNY – Scrooge’s beloved sister, appearing in memories; tender and devoted.
MOTHER – Bedridden yet strong; warns Scrooge not to mistake money for love.
YOUNG EBENEZER – Scrooge as a youth; eager but hardened by loss.

NAN PRITCHARD – Scrooge’s charwoman, rough and greedy.
MABEL HIGGS – Scrooge’s laundress, bitter and worn.
AMOS CROWE – Undertaker’s man, steals Scrooge’s burial clothes.
MRS. KETTLE – Widow embittered by Scrooge’s cruelty.
MR. BARNES – Laborer wronged by Scrooge.
MRS. HOLLOWAY – Tenant forced to pay double rent; angry and proud.
MR. JENKINS – Farmer nearly ruined by debt.
SUSAN MILLER – Gentle soul praying for Scrooge’s redemption.
Ensemble
CAROLERS (4–8) – Singing townsfolk whose voices weave the story together.
GHOST CHORUS (3–5 voices, mixed) – Haunting harmonies and whispers enhancing each supernatural moment.

REHEARSALS:
Monday – Friday, 6:30 PM – 9:00/9:30 PM
Not all company members will be called every evening.
Rehearsals will begin shortly after casting and continue through early December.
