413 Repertory Theater is seeking talented performers for its upcoming immersive dinner theater production of Moriarty: A New Sherlock Holmes Story by Ken Ludwig — a fast-paced, comedic, and suspenseful Sherlock Holmes adventure performed in an intimate high tea theater setting. Actors with strong comedic timing, physical storytelling ability, and comfort interacting in close audience proximity are encouraged to audition.
ABOUT THE PLAY
Fresh from the pen of award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig, Moriarty delivers a fast-paced and witty new adventure featuring the world’s most famous detective and his trusted companion, Dr. Watson. Packed with suspense, humor, and surprising twists, the production reimagines the classic Holmes mystery for modern audiences while honoring the timeless charm of Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved characters.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Prepare one memorized comedic monologue of 1–2 minutes (British dialects strongly encouraged)

EQUITY STATUS
This is a NON-EQUITY production. All performers will be cast on a non-equity basis. 413 Repertory Theater encourages performers of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels to audition.
REHEARSALS
$250 gas stipends will be provided to each actor. In person rehearsals will be evening only and take place 6 weeks prior to performances in Escondido from 6:30pm - 10:00pm beginning the week of July 20th. The rehearsal schedule will be built on actors' availability. Full rehearsal and performance calendar available below:
