Our spring Festival performance of Henry IV, Part 1 (May 8-11, 2025) seeks actors local to the Big Bend area AND/OR that are also AEA certified fight choreographers. Local cast members of Henry IV, Part 1 will be compensated with a stipend of $800.Interested talent should complete the audition form at SouthernShakes.org/auditions and/or provided in person at the audition. Audition sides will be posted on the audition website as soon as they are available, though actors should feel free to prepare the classical monologue of their choice instead / as well in the meantime.
Parking is available across the street from the Southern Shakespeare offices at Tallahassee State College (TSC). If you have conflicts / specific needs in terms of audition timing, reach out to stage manager Stephen Smith (scroll down for contact info) during your audition block. Callbacks are tentatively scheduled for February 19, 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Auditioners will be contacted via email if they receive a callback.
This May 8-11, 2025 production at Cascades Park will be directed by Conner Wilson (Broadway's Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), star Wil Johnson (HBO's House of the Dragon) as Henry IV, and feature Richard Henry as Falstaff.
