Peter Shaffer’s Equus is a bold psychological drama about obsession, identity, and the forces that shape who we become. After 17-year-old Alan Strang commits an unthinkable act of violence, psychiatrist Martin Dysart attempts to uncover the truth behind the crime and Alan’s intense spiritual connection to horses. But as the mystery unfolds, Dysart finds himself questioning his own life, his purpose, and whether “curing” someone means destroying the very thing that makes them unique.
