About this Event
Museum Development Midlands is offering six bursaries for museums to attend Audio Description and Touch Tour training, organised by Brampton Museum.
Learn how to lead audio-described touch tours and object handling sessions for people with visual impairments. Perfect for Museum volunteers and staff wishing to increase their knowledge and offer the best welcome to visitors with low or no vision. Lead by professional audio describer Anne Hornsby of Mind's Eye Description.
Lunch and refreshments are included.
Who can apply?
Maximum two bursaries awarded per organisation. This opportunity is open to delegates from non-NPO and non-National museums in the Midlands which are Accredited or officially Working Towards Accreditation.
How will I know I have been successful?
Bursaries will be awarded to eligible delegates on a first come, first served basis. We will email you within five working days to confirm your bursary place. Bursary recipients will be asked to complete a booking form directly with Brampton Museum no later than Monday 30 September to specify requirements such as accessibility or dietary for the training event.
