Audio Book Walking Club

Phoenix Books and Come Alive Outside are joining forces to create a unique community Audio Book Club experience in downtown Rutland.

Join us for a gentle downtown walk, a good story in your ears, and a shared experience that brings reading and movement together in a welcoming community setting.

Participants will meet at Phoenix Books (2 Center Street, Rutland) before heading out together for a relaxed, slow-paced stroll of approximately one mile through downtown. The route is stroller- and wheelchair-accessible and designed to be welcoming for a wide range of abilities and comfort levels.

Instead of reading the same book, each participant brings their own audiobook, headphones, and mobile listening device. During the walk, you can enjoy your story while moving gently through the city alongside others doing the same.

The walk lasts approximately 45 minutes and departs promptly at 11 AM.

After the walk, participants are encouraged to return to Phoenix Books to browse, chat, and discover new reads.

Participants may wish to explore audiobook options through Libro.fm, which supports independent bookstores like Phoenix Books.
