The AUA Empowering All Abilities Day will be a vibrant celebration promoting sports and recreation for children with disabilities and chronic illnesses. This inclusive event ensures every child can participate, fostering growth, joy, and a sense of belonging. Families will connect with local sports clubs and community services, paving the way for long-term involvement in inclusive activities.
A highlight of the day will be the grand opening of the AUA All-Abilities Bike Precinct, featuring the new Road-safety Learn-to-Ride Track - a collaborative effort involving AUA, ACT Government Sport and Recreation and Evatt Primary School.
Inspirational para-athletes will also be present to demonstrate that every child has the potential to achieve greatness. This event also coincides with the International Day of People with Disability. By celebrating this day, we honour the achievements of people with disabilities and advocate for a society where everyone can participate fully and equally.
