ATW presents the Bristol Triathlon, one of the UK's most-popular 'closed-road' Triathlon events, in a vibrant city known for its culture, creativity and green spaces.The race is based around Bristol Harbour, starting with a swim in the Cumberland Basin, followed by a traffic-free ride on Portway under the famous Clifton suspension bridge and to round it off, an epic run alongside the River Avon, finishing over the flyover where you will be cheered home by thunderous support!
Whether you are a novice cyclist enjoying the traffic-free route, or a serious athlete looking to post a PB, this 'closed road, traffic-free' event will be one you will remember.
This is a rolling-start, non-drafting event with starts from 7am, with two distances to choose from:
- Sprint - 750m Swim - 21km Bike - 5km Run
- Standard - 1500m Swim - 42km Bike - 10km Run
If you don't want to tackle all three disciplines yourself, there is also an Aquabike (Swim-Bike) on offer for both distances and a relay over the Standard distance.
This event is for athletes of all abilities and ages.

ATW Transfer & Refund Policy
At ATW, we understand that sometimes plans change. While we do not offer refunds or transfers to another person, we provide a hassle-free event transfer option for those unable to attend their booked event. If you are unable to participate in your scheduled event for any reason—including injury, illness, pregnancy, bereavement, or other unforeseen circumstances—you can transfer your entry to any future ATW event. There is no proof required, we trust you!
Even better news, transfers can be made all the way up to 48 hours before your original event date.

ATW was established in 2011 by James Shipley. We have now become a national events company in the UK, specialising in Running, Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquathon, Cycling, Swimming and all permutation of swim-bike run events. With over 40,000 entries a year ATW has become a firm favourite amongst people who are determined to Dream, Believe and Achieve.
