Join us on Wednesday, August 27th at State Senator Vince Polistina’s office in downtown Atlantic City for a rally for climate action!
We are calling on our state representatives to pass the NJ Climate Superfund Act, would hold polluters accountable for damages caused by climate change in our communities. It would also make funds available for climate resiliency projects, infrastructure upgrades, and more.
Atlantic City is one of the municipalities most vulnerable to climate change in the entire nation. As a coastal city, AC is extremely flood-vulnerable — and it's also an environmental justice community, which has been suffered disproportionate impacts from environmental harm.
The NJ Climate Superfund Act would offer communities like Atlantic City resources to address climate impacts ahead. Let’s call on Sen. Polistina and our other state reps to do the right thing and pass this important legislation!
We are also calling on CD2 Congressman Jeff Van Drew to oppose any bill in Congress that includes immunity for the fossil fuel industry for climate damages. This summer has been filled with record heat waves, floods, and wildfires. In our current climate crisis, we need decisive action at every political level!
