The Muriel Moore/Danny Nelson SAG-AFTRA Conservatory presents: Audition Prep and Tape Review with Matthew Cornwell and Brooke Jay Taylor.
During this conversation we will be focusing on how to optimize your audition prep to set yourself up for success. We welcome your questions about recent auditions you’ve had.
Then, we’ll review actual audition tapes and give commentary on technical elements and the performance. While we’ll have a few tapes to share already, we invite participants to bring a phone or laptop with a recent audition to share with the whole class.
Matthew Cornwell is famously nonchalant in all aspects of life, but most notably in his 80+ IMDb credits. He also co-owns Get Taped, which was founded in 2010 to dispel fear in actors by providing a safe, encouraging environment for auditions, classes, workshops, and career counseling. He’s eternally devoted to his amazingly talented, beautiful wife, and best friend, Brooke.
Brooke Jaye Taylor is a tough girl with a tender heart who received a BFA in Performing Arts from the University of Florida. She has since built an extensive résumé in Theatre, Television, Film, and Improv. She often refers to her best decisions in life as cutting her hair short and marrying her brilliant, funny, and chivalrous husband, Matthew. And, if lost, she can be found riding a rollercoaster.
If you are a no-show, per Conservatory rules, you will be exempt from any Conservatory events for two months.
Doors open at 6:30 pm and will close at 7:05 p.m. No one will be admitted after that time out of respect for our presenter and participants.
