Step into a nature-based oasis in Decatur for a hands-on botanical soapmaking experience surrounded by lush raised beds, edible gardens, and funky farm vibes.
Hosted by Oni Saani Naturals by Jus Soli EcoAgro, this beginner-friendly workshop introduces you to the art and science of traditional cold-process soapmaking. You’ll explore how herbs, botanical-infused oils, natural butters, and other thoughtfully selected ingredients come together to create handcrafted soap.
During this interactive experience, you’ll learn the fundamentals of soap chemistry, ingredient selection, botanical infusions, safe lye handling, and the step-by-step process of making soap from scratch.
Then it’s time to put on your gloves, roll up your sleeves, and create! You’ll participate in the soapmaking process and leave with your own 6 bars of handcrafted botanical soap, a reuseable silicone mold, curing instructions, and foundational knowledge to continue exploring the craft at home.
No previous soapmaking experience is necessary. Come ready to learn, create, connect, and experience the journey from Seed, Soil to Skin™ in one of Decatur’s most unique nature-inspired spaces.
