MARCH IS ASU CARES MONTH
Hello ASU Chicago Alums:
If you are looking for a great volunteer opportunity and wish to assist a wonderful organization that supports those in need in the Lakeview area and surrounding neighborhoods, please join our annual ASU Cares Event on SATURDAY, MARCH 21 at Nourishing Hope starting at 11:30am. Our volunteer shift will be at Nourishing Hope’s “Hub” location: 5151 N. Ravenswood Avenue, Chicago, 60640, and street parking is available. The number 22 CTA Bus (Clark) can also be taken north to Clark and Foster, and then a short walk to Nourishing Hope.
Our shift will last approximately 3 hours.
A brief summary of what we will be doing: Sort through donations of food and non-food items. Check items for quality and box by item type. Volunteers need to be able to stand for the majority of the shift and occasionally lift 10-15 lbs.
Closed-toed shoes are required. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing - something that can get a little messy. Gloves are provided on site.
