Astronomy on Tap - Solar Eruptions & Black Holes Tearing Apart Stars

How do black holes literally tear apart stars? What causes the Sun to erupt and send material into space? Join us Monday, August 3rd at 7:30PM as we discuss these topics and more at our next Astronomy on Tap. We'll host two ~20 minute talks, Q&A, and then follow it up with interactive, astronomical pub trivia, and guided stargazing with telescopes! In addition, we'll get the information on the upcoming solar eclipse occurring on August 12!
Astronomy on Tap is a worldwide phenomenon where scientists take over local bars to discuss their research in 20-minute informal talks over beers. We host events at an outdoor space at the Dog Haus Biergarten in Old Town Pasadena. Event is totally free and open to all (including minors), no reservations necessary.
