Astronomy on Tap Lausanne #14 - EAS Annual Meeting
About this Event
A special edition of Astronomy on Tap Lausanne will be held during EAS (European Astronomical Society) Annual Meeting, and you're invited to attend! The event will take place on Thursday, July 2nd at 7pm at Barberousse Lausanne Bar. It is open to everyone, we're bringing together students, researchers, the general public, and for this special edition, many EAS attendees, to share space science in a fun and accessible way.
This event is organized in collaboration with Emily Rice from Astronomy on Tap HQ and Space@yourService, the EPFL space promotion association that runs Astronomy on Tap Lausanne.
If you'd like to join us (and it's 100% free to do so) please RSVP here and let us know! This is essential so we can make sure we don't have more people attending than the venue can accommodate.
One of the things to look forward to on the night is an Astronomer Bingo game. We'll collect responses from any wonderful astronomers willing to take part, make bingo cards for our non-astronomer attendees, and encourage off-stage interactions between attendees in order to fill their bingo cards. As part of this, we would like to collect from you: an unusual word, term, or phrase used in your field - something unusual & expected to get conversations going! This information will be added to bingo cards randomly, and our non-astronomer attendees will interact with our astronomer attendees to tick off as much of their bingo card as possible. Hopefully, we'll see you there! Please select the Astronomer Bingo Participant ticket if you wish to join, otherwise, select general admission.
