About this Event
Do you have a telescope you need help setting up? Has your telescope stayed mainly in the garage because you're not quite sure how to set it up? Members of the Denver Astronomical Society will be onsite to assist you with setup, calibration and quick tips for new telescope users.
Don't have a telescope but want to see awesome celestial bodies? Join us for a presentation on the history of telescopes followed by telescope viewing with memebers from the Denver Astronomical Society.
Below is the schedule, come anytime between 6 and 8:30 p.m.
6:00pm - 7:30pm - New user telescope setup and "first light" viewing of Venus, Jupiter & the Orion Nebula
6:30pm - 7:30pm - Denver Astronomical Society presents "History of Telescopes, From Galileo to Hubble" presentation. Learn about the first telescopes invented by Galileo and Newton. Learn how telescopes work and how their discoveries have shaped our understanding of the universe and how the latest telescopes are rewriting textbooks.
7:30pm - 9:00pm - Telescope viewing with telescopes from members of the Denver Astronomical Society!
