Meet at: Field behind Nature Center
Cedars of Lebanon State Park
will be hosting Astronomy nights on
There will be a presentation at 8 pm about the constellations, planets, galaxies, star clusters, and other objects visible that night. Viewing will begin afterwards at 8:30 pm and continue until at least midnight. This is a special time of year when the winter constellations are still visible early in the evening and the summer constellations start rising later. The Milky Way might even be on display later in the evening.
Attendees should plan on bringing chairs if desired. White light interferes with night vision, please bring a red flashlight or put red cellophane (park has limited supply) over your regular flashlight. Feel free to bring your binoculars or telescope if you have them.

We will begin at the Nature Center and hike a short ways to an open field located behind the Nature Center over a bridge. Accessible Restrooms are located at the Nature Center on the back deck. Handicap parking is available at the location but visitors will be directed to parking by Park Ranger upon arrival. Please inform Park Ranger if this is needed when you arrive.
Our all terrain wheelchair(single) is also available upon request.
