Join Dr. Lionel Crews from the University of Tennessee at Martin Astronomy Department and the Discovery Park education team on the Great Lawn for a special evening of stargazing. Jupiter will be at opposition, which happens once a year when Earth passes between the Sun and Jupiter, making the planet appear its largest and brightest in the night sky. While Jupiter can be seen with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope will reveal its moons and cloud bands. Please follow the signs and park on the north side of the parking lot. Enter through the “Let It Glow” walk-thru gate.
