Wisdom keepers Kathy Guidi and Kāren Hunter are joining forces to bring you a cosmically themed, fun explorative journey into astrology, mythology and shamanic breathwork.Sharing their passions for astrology, music, and breathwork, they will weave together astrological insights and a celestial and spirit-elemented focused shamanic breathwork session to take you on journey into the cosmos and beyond!
Kāren describes astrology as a powerful tool for self discovery using archetypes, mythology and curiosity.
Our morning will kick off with a lively and participatory workshop unpacking some of this years key planetary movements, an introduction to some fundamental astrological concepts, and an interactive discussion on how to combine these in relation to our lives. This will be an experiential wananga style workshop with a combination of information and embodied activities suitable for all levels of experience.
Then, after a light lunch break, we will move into an embodied breathwork practice utilizing conscious connected breathwork along with shamanic journeying. Take what you’ve learned from the morning session into your breathwork to dig deeper into your psyche. What’s lurking underneath as you move into an altered state of consciousness? Emotional release? Letting go of what no longer serves you? Or a mystical journey into the multidimensional universe of unlimited possibilities? Find clarity and insights to be able to experience more ease and flow in your life. Bruce Scanlon will provide musical accompaniment on gongs and bowls.
After coming back from your journey, you will anchor your experience through the shakti art process. We will then move into circle to share about our experiences of both astrology and breathwork.
We will end the day in total relaxation as Kāren takes us on a mystical sound journey that offers you a ‘moment out of time’ to be nurtured with medicine songs, sacred poetry and healing music to totally integrate the days’ experience. Kāren uses guitar, voice, flute , chimes, medicine drums and bells in her journeys.
This immersive day is suitable for any level of astrologer and breathworker including complete beginners. Come have some fun with us!

ABOUT US
KAREN HUNTER:
Kāren Hunter is a (Pākeha) New Zealander of Cornish, Irish and Scottish descent. Kāren’s offerings of Music, Astrology and Ceremony are intended to contribute to the present awakening of humanity. Kāren is also a Zenergy Global trained facilitator and can hold dynamic space with sensitivity.
Kāren’s primary healing modality is music and this includes workshops, lessons, festival performances, shamanic sound journeys and ceremony. Karen is also a consulting astrologer and tarot reader. She combines these two passions into weekly videos she calls ‘Astro Musical Interventions’ and these are posted on her Substack, Facebook and Instagram pages.

KATHY GUIDI
Kathy is a Shamanic Breathwork Master Practitioner through Venus Rising Association for Transformation. She has over 400 hours of formal training through Venus Rising and another 100 hours of study/training in Rebirthing, SOMA Breathwork, Transformational Breathwork, and Biodynamic Breathwork.
When not facilitating, she is busy as a retreat host and event organizer at Birdsong Retreat & Sanctuary, the place she has called home for the last 17 years.
She is an all-around WOW-girl (ways of wellness) seeking to optimize body, mind, and spirit. She is passionate about earth stewardship, sacred relationship/ayni with all things and beings, and helping people with their journeys towards wholeness. Her passion centers around personal development, understanding the psyche, healing our internal wounds, and becoming conscious heart-centered humans.

Shamanic Breathwork Overview:
Shamanic Breathwork utilizes a dynamic breathing process called conscious connected breathing along with chakra attuned music, bodywork, and an art integration & sharing process. You are guided on a journey where you can drop deep and tune in to your inner wisdom and achieve an altered state of consciousness, by-passing the ego mind, and tap into what’s underneath the surface thereby leading you to experience whatever is needed for your highest growth and healing.
During a breathwork session, you can experience any number of states of being from anger & grief, to utter bliss and connection to the cosmos; you can have a womb memory experience (rebirth), you might uncover childhood memories; or you may experience downloads or a deep Knowing. The full spectrum of humanness is available and no two breathwork journeys are the same. Coming into a session with no expectations and full acceptance of all that arises is recommended to get the most out of your experience.
Upon the closure of the Breathwork journey and your return to the physical world, you will be invited to partake in the art integration aspect of the ceremony. This is where you are given time to draw or express your experience, and then share with the group if you feel called to do so.
