It’s springtime so that means it’s the gardening season. Eating fresh, homegrown produce means you have better control over the use of pesticides and chemicals. In addition, homegrown food can contribute to your household's food security. In times of shortages or emergencies, having a garden can be a valuable resource.On Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 12:30pm – 2:30pm, we will host a Plant, Flower, Vegetable, Herb, and Fruit Plants fundraising event, at the Norcross Cultural Arts and Community Center. Fundraising allows our nonprofit organization to generate revenue, so we can continue to offer our programs and services at low-cost. Free catered lunch from Olive Garden Italian Restaurant will be served to anyone who makes a purchase. Vegetarian meal options will be available. The event is free and open to the public.
