Aimed at Consent Angels and Dungeon Monitors (and those who are wanting to learn), Trey Emery (Inanna Academy) presents a skill share and Q&A focusing on consent agent theory - including different models of consent agents in play spaces, strategies to engage with patrons, personal safety taking on the role of a consent agent, and what to look for while on duty. While this part of the event is mostly theory-based, we will also engage in practical exercises to encourage a broader understanding of the various talking points.Some of the core concepts we will cover:
- Definitions and terms of the event based consent advocate roles
- Understanding approaches to evaluating and managing risk in a SOP and k!nk environment
- Bystander effect
- Affect - projecting a persona consistent with the event’s intention
- Social capital
- Types of power
- Consequences and accountability for transgressions or mishaps
- Effective incident reports and escalations
- Responding to guests and incidents -trauma informed
- Personal impact and Self-care in the role of an event based consent advocate.
