About this Event
Come learn from University of Utah Wilderness Medicine Fellows about what it really means to be prepared for a backcountry medical emergency.
This hands-on workshop will start with doctors sharing some new medical research before dividing participants into smaller groups for scenario-based patient management practice.
No experience necessary, but if you are a WFR/OEC and above, we will make sure you are in a group with slightly more advanced language + pacing. Expect to leave feeling a bit more comfortable sizing up a scene, determining patience consciousness, and moving through the first ‘Patience Assessment Triangle’ to stop + fix life threats (airway! breathing! circulation!).
This course is free and open to the public. Register here to let us know you’re coming!
