Riot Act, Inc. presents Assassins by Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman on The Center Main Stage. The show will run March 6-9 at 7:00pm, matinees March 8 & 9 at 1:00pm. Tickets may be purchased at The Center Box Office: $30 for adults or $25 for students/seniors.

Play description:
A multiple Tony Award-winning theatrical tour-de-force, Assassins combines Sondheim's signature blend of intelligently stunning lyrics and beautiful music with a panoramic story of our nation's culture of celebrity and the violent means some will use to obtain it, embodied by America's four successful and five would-be presidential assassins. Bold, original, disturbing and alarmingly funny, Assassins is perhaps the most controversial musical ever written.
Assassins lays bare the lives of nine individuals who assassinated or tried to assassinate the President of the United States, in a one-act historical "revusical" that explores the dark side of the American experience. From John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald, writers, Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman, bend the rules of time and space, taking us on a nightmarish roller coaster ride in which assassins and would-be assassins from different historical periods meet, interact and inspire each other to harrowing acts in the name of the American Dream.. ~ MTI
Helmed by veteran Director Macey Mott, Vocal Director Lynnette Turner Parry, Fight Director Michael Jerome Johnson, Choreographer Margaret Breffeilh, and Stage Manager Dolyn Kinney this is a timely musical extravaganza. Our wonderful, talented cast includes Aaron Hawkins, Angel May Wise, Brian VanHattan, Esther Mulvihill, Ethan McLeod, Ian Chapman, Karen Cummings, Marshall Cherry, Mason Marshall, Mike Cavaroc, Sage Wilson, Shannon Perrone, and Thomas Kinney.
Tickets are available in advance online at The Center Box Office and cost $30 for adults or $25 for students/seniors. Riot Act, Inc. Swag and Concessions will be available before each performance and during intermission.
