Event Description:
Join us for an exclusive ASP Skills Summit in Manhattan, KS at the Flint Hills Shooting Range! This exclusive, immersive training event is designed to sharpen your defensive skills using ASP’s evidence-based techniques. Experience two transformative days of professional instruction tailored for real-world self-defense scenarios.
Private Lessons:
Offered in 2-hour blocks on the Friday prior to the event, these personalized one-on-one sessions with ASP’s expert instructors are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Two Days of Enhanced Evidence-Based Pistol Skills:
- Accuracy & Speed: Develop the precision and quickness necessary to excel in defensive shooting.
- Advanced Shooting Positions: Gain expertise in unconventional and low-profile shooting stances.
- Movement Drills: Learn to shoot effectively while on the move, preparing you for dynamic, unpredictable situations.

You Will Need:
For this class, you should bring a quality semi-auto pistol, 3-5 magazines, and concealment holster with a belt (or Enigma). Serpa holsters or similar style that use the trigger finger to release retention are NOT ALLOWED. Hybrid holsters are not recommended. Revolvers are allowed if that is what you carry. We recommend cleaning and lubricating your firearm before class starts.
During the two days you will fire approximately 350 rounds over the course of the two days. You are welcome to bring more and could shoot up to 500 if you desire.
You should also bring high quality eye protection and hearing protection, as well as a brimmed hat. Closed toed shoes are required and a high neckline shirt is highly recommended for all participants. Bring water and snacks, and we strongly recommend packing lunch to have sufficient time to eat since nearby dining options are limited.
Range Fees:
Daily range fees are not included in the class registration fee. You will receive range fee information prior to class.
Upon Arrival:
UPON ARRIVAL CHECK IN WITH STAFF. While you are welcome to load mags to your heart’s content before class begins, DO NOT UNCASE OR UNHOLSTER GUNS PRIOR TO CLASS UNLESS SPECIFICALLY ASKED TO DO SO BY STAFF. NO GUNS SHOULD BE TOUCHED EVER BEHIND THE FIRING LINE. (There will be instruction and adequate time to deal with changing from self defense ammunition to target rounds.)
