Asia Pacific Screen Awards Opening Night Gala

Tickets are now on sale for the Asia Pacific Screen Awards Opening Night Gala. Attend the red-carpet tribute to Jack Thompson AM, with a film introduction and on-stage conversation. Have the opportunity to ask the actor what you’ve always wanted to know about his outstanding career representing Australia on the world stage then sit back and watch the film chosen by Mr Thompson himself, Burke & Wills (1985). 

Burke & Wills (1985), directed by Graeme Clifford, is a biographical adventure film based on the real-life historic 1860-1861 Burke and Wills expedition. Watch Irish explorer Robert O'Hara Burke (Jack Thompson AM) and British scientist William John Wills (Nigel Havers) attempt to cross central Australia from Melbourne to the Gulf of Carpentaria and create the first maps of the outback.
