Speaker Bio:
Bill is a mechanical engineer with more than 40 years of experience in HVAC design and building operations. He started as a consulting engineer in Saskatoon, then ran his own firm before spending 28 years with the National Research Council. There he led energy improvements at the Plant Biotechnology Institute, helped design its award-winning Industry Partnership Facility, and later managed all NRC labs in Western Canada. Bill is a longtime ASHRAE leader and was elected Vice-President in 2019. He has also chaired two commissioning guidelines and co-authored chapters of the Cold Climate Buildings Design Guide.
