🎉 Our biggest Junior Fundraiser is on next Thursday night! 🎉The Ashley Bryant Memorial T20 match is tribute to the
pioneer of our junior program, who sadly lost his battle to mental health. Annually we dedicate this T20 match to his legacy, bringing together the whole club to celebrate the success of the juniors as we know today, and raise funds to support our “Junior’s Play for Free” initiative.
Our U16’s combined with seniors (who have come through our junior program) put their skills on display! This is a whole of family event where we see many dozens of players have a fantastic night with teammates.
This a whole club event that brings junior players and their families with our seniors, working towards our “One Club” goal.
Excitingly this is the first year we have also had Junior Girls in our program!
At 5pm Catherine Hutchesson MP will officially “cut the ribbon” on the brand new Weymouth Oval Centre Wicket, and bowl our traditional “ceremonial First ball!” Funding for the pich was secured through SACA and the SA Government. and will be used for the first time.
Channel 7 plan to broadcast the weather live from the oval across the evening - get yourself on TV!
Before the match, we welcome children aged 5-10 to enjoy a FREE cricket clinic from 4pm - 5:00pm supported by Strikers Players players Thomas Kelly and Hanno Jacobs, a past Ramblers junior.
Simultaneously, we will also have the Cricket Australia’s SMASH CRICKET underway on from 4pm for 10-14 years
We’ve got our DJ back on the decks spinning some tunes across the match, so vives will be high & the cricket will be hot!
BBQ and drinks will be available throughout the evening for spectators and players.
