ASHE CO - 16th Street Mall Walking Tour

Welcome to the ASHE CO - 16th Street Mall Walking Tour! Join us for a fun and informative stroll along the 16th St Mall. This in-person event is a great way to get some exercise, meet new people, and learn about this exciting project in the heart of downtown Denver. We will start near the southeast end of the mall where active construction work is underway. During our walk we will learn about the challenges and successes of this historic project. Our guided walk will wrap up at the northwest end of the mall where we will get to experience several of the completed sections.

Important topics of the tour will include;

• Planning, design and construction challenges, including planning for current and future utilities in an urban corridor
• Where will the water go?
• Establishing an urban tree canopy on opening day
• Maintaining the historic esthetic of the I.M. Pei design
