The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria 4th Edition (Adult) is the most widely used and comprehensive set of guidelines for assessment, placement, treatment planning, transition and continued service criteria for clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders. Treatment providers and program evaluators use patient placement criteria to ensure that clients receive the appropriate level of care based on person-centered needs. This 6 hour in-person will highlight changes in the 4th Edition (Adult) and will explore the updated ASAM Continuum of Care, ASAM 6-Dimensions, Level of Care and Treatment Planning Assessment, Dimensional Admission Criteria (Rating Risk) and the revised and updated Transition and Continued Service Criteria.
