A mysterious Masked Pirate has landed on the shores of Bjornsborg and is looking for a new crew!Join the Hersir and Baroness of Bjornsborg and compete for the honor of joining the crew and becoming Bjornsborg's Champions in the:
"YOU SEEM A DECENT FELLOW" RAPIER CHAMPIONSHIP
Early Rounds – Prove you are equally skilled with both hands!
3-4 Rounds (depending on number of participants), Round Robin, 2-4 fields
Each bout: best 2 out of 3, Single Rapier only.
The twist: are you left-handed?
The winner of each fight MUST change hands for the next fight. The loser can switch hands or not. To win the bout, fighters MUST win using each hand.
After the early rounds, the Hersir and Baroness will choose the top 4 to move on to the Final Round.
Final Round – Last Fighter Standing
The field will be set up as a “maze” with barriers that the fighters will have to navigate around. 4 fighters will enter the field – 1 will be victorious!
The Hersir and Baroness will announce their Rapier Champion at Evening Court!
(note – if you do NOT want the responsibility of being the Champion, you are still welcome to come fight in the tourney – just let the Lyst Minister know!)

This competition is about cleverness, creativity, scholarship, and that moment when someone looks at your work and says "Inconceivable!" Present the Hersir and Baroness your best documented works, your bold interpretations, your elegant builds, and your delightfully unexpected projects. Food arts, research, crafts, and all are welcome If it can make our hosts smile, think, and maybe quote the movie under their breath, it belongs here. As you wish, Bring your brilliance, Bring your joy, And remember, You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means, More details soon. I cannot wait to see what you create

THE BRUTE SQUAD THROWN WEAPONS CHAMPIONSHIP:
Two Rounds:
Round 1 - Multiple simultaneous lanes. Each participant does one lane, switches to another until they have done all. Throwers at all lanes every time we throw. All targets at 10’ unless otherwise specified.
Lane 1: Lightning Sand!
The bullseye is the worst place to hit!! Your choice of knife or axe. Any hit is 1 point. Hit on target, but not bullseye is 5 points. Hit on bullseye is -5 points! And you get 1 less weapon to throw on whatever your next round is.
Lane 2: Non-dominant Hand Throw!
Your choice, knife or axe.1 point for any stick. 3 for on the target. 5 for bullseye. (Target will be a 6-fingered hand.)
Lane 3: Cut The Rope So The Man In Black Falls!
Six tries, 3 axe, 3 knife. 1 point for any stick. 3 for on the narrow vertical target. 5 for actually cutting the string.
Lane 4: I Don’t Think They Exist, Rodents Of Perfectly Usual Size!
Plumbata. Hoops on the ground, with a rat in the enter of each one. One hoop at 15’, one at 20.’ For 15ft target: 1 point for any stick in the ground, 3 for inside a hoop, 5 for sticking a rat. For 20ft target: 6 points for stick inside the hoop, 10 for stick in the rat.
Lane 5: Dread Pirate Roberts!
A combat archery Bob in a wooden wheelbarrow, wearing a black cloak. Sling target. Any hit on pirate or wheelbarrow is one point. Hit the pirate in face or chest, 3 points. Round skillet metal bullseye target area will bong if hit with a tennis ball. 5 points!
Round 2: Rodents Of Unusual Size Don’t Exist, Do They?
Very large rat target. Okay, maybe they do exist! Spears at 15’ Extra point for pithy catch phrase when throwing.
Slight variation in scoring. Every spear that hits gets same score as best spear. So, any hit on the rat is 1 point, in target is 3, and bullseye (where rat’s heart would be) is 5. Except, every spear stuck counts as if it were your best shot.
Example 1: If you get 1 bullseye and 1 spear just stuck in the rat’s butt. That’s 10 points. Both spears count the same as your best shot.
Example 2: Three shots stuck, two on the rat body, one on the target, not the bullseye. Counts as 9 points.
If there’s a tie, will move rat out to 20;’ High scorers do a spear throw-off.

Third Remove: Pork Loin Pinwheels with Veggies and Macrows or Vegetarian Lasagna
