Establish a new tradition as you create a One-of-a-Kind Live Wreath, and memories to last a lifetime, with Jean Skipper, Lori Meltzer, and Friends at ARTworks Vass!
Will your wreath be wild and wooly or reserved and elegant?!?
Will you display it on a wall or as part of the centerpiece on your dining room table?
The choices are all yours!
Wreath Making will take place on Sunday, December 1st, Tuesday, December 3rd, and Thursday, December 5th, beginning at 1:00 each afternoon. Use this listing on our website to make your reservation, or visit our Classes and Events page to view the other available dates
Jean Skipper, Lori Meltzer, and their Friends will break down the process into manageable steps, and you'll be proud and amazed by your finished results.
All supplies are included.
Beginners are welcome, and those age 14 and older may register to make their own wreath independently as as student in class.
For your GPS, this class will be held at ARTworks Vass, 129 Main Street, Vass, NC, 28394, and we ask that you arrive to register a few minutes before your scheduled start time.
Options for Completed Wreaths or a Mailbox Swag
- A Mailbox Swag, priced at $49, is new to our lineup this year. Each Mailbox Swag contains between 5 and 7 individual bouquets, and they're designed to curve over the top of your mailbox for a festive and unexpected decorating option.
- Our Large Sized Wreath, priced at $89, measures between 22 and 25 inches across, and it will fit comfortably on a standard household door.
- For those who know that a Large Sized Wreath won't be big enough for their needs, by popular demand you may now make a Super Sized Wreath, priced at $129, that measures up to 36 inches across. This size is perfectly suited for display above a fireplace or on a large interior or exterior wall.
- All wreathes contain a base layer of local ethically harvested evergreens, plus your choice of specialty botanicals, pine cones, seed pods, and other surprises.

Options for Adding Single Bouquet Swags
- Single Bouquet Swags make a beautiful addition to a door, fence post, wall, or even a vase or vessel! Our Swags include one generously sized bundle of ethically sourced greens with bows and embellishments. Single Bouquet Swags are priced at $19 each, and you may register to make up to 3 of them with your Live Wreath or Mailbox Swag.
- All Swags contain a base layer of local ethically harvested evergreens, plus your choice of specialty botanicals, pine cones, seed pods, and other surprises.

You're welcome to bring the following:
- Comfortable Clothing that's appropriate for the weather and work. While wreath making will happen under a tent, and you’ll have access to our gallery and studio inside, prepare for layering your clothing in chilly weather just in case.
- Your own folding lawn chair.
- An Apron.
- Pruning Sheers.
- Leather Gloves or Gardening Gloves.
- Greenery and Botanicals from your own garden. We love these sentimental touches!
- Embellishments, including feathers, Christmas Bulbs, and almost anything else that you can imagine! We'll have plenty on hand to share, but your own personalized touches will make a welcome addition too.
At a cost of $49, $89 or $129, you'll have the opportunity to finish 1 Live Wreath or 1 Mailbox Swag per appointment that you schedule. Reservations are non refundable, and the start time of your class may not be changed after registration.
Only registered guests may attend and participate, and you may book additional sessions if you'd like to make extra wreaths.
An appointment is generally required to participate, and walk-ins on the day of classes will only be permitted as space allows.
*** The photos shown in the listing on our website are divided into two groups. Samples of Live Wreaths from 2022 have been labeled as a size reference for you. Photos from 2023 are unlabeled and provided for inspiration. (We're confident that you'll be able to easily identify the Super Sized among them!) Each year brings new and different creations, and we're confident that your finished wreath will be as unique as you are!
