ArtStart invites the community to an intimate evening of live music on Thursday, October 15, 2026, featuring Northwoods singer-songwriter Brett Albertson and Wisconsin-based artist Emilie Ganiere. The performance begins at 6:30pm at ArtStart, 68 S. Stevens St. in Rhinelander. Admission is a suggested $10 donation at the door. A cash bar will be available.
Brett Albertson, who performs under the name "Cement Shoes," is a Northwoods-based singer-songwriter whose work moves between introspective poetry and raw, unguarded emotion. As described by musician Scott Kirby, "Albertson's collection of introspective prose and poetry has an unavoidable honesty. He sings beautifully poignant ballads with a punk rock sensibility to them."
Joining him is Emilie Ganiere, a Wisconsin-based singer, songwriter, and ukulele player whose music draws from folk storytelling, bluegrass energy, and the blues. Ganiere's signature sound pairs playful acoustic rhythms with expressive, deeply felt vocals into a roots-driven style that is wholly their own.
Together, Albertson and Ganiere bring two distinct but complementary voices to ArtStart's intimate performance space for an evening that promises to be as memorable as it is rare.
