About this Event
The struggles of securing arts funding are real!
Join Disconnected Bodies for a free, practical arts funding workshop designed to help you move forward with your grant application.
Led by Pablo Colella, this session will:
- Introduce the current arts funding landscape
- Share insights into key funding trends over the next 4 years
- Offer practical advice on how to strengthen your applications
- Answer your specific questions about securing funding
Hands-on support (bring your application!)
The second half of the session is dedicated to one-to-one support.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Work directly on your application
- Get tailored feedback on your project or idea
- Receive guidance whether you're just starting or nearly submitting
Important:
If your application is already written or on a funding portal, you must bring your own laptop. (laptops will not be provided.)
Who is this for?
- Artists, creatives, and cultural practitioners
- Individuals or organisations seeking funding
- Anyone with an idea, project, or application at any stage
No prior experience is required.
Funding expertise
We have extensive experience supporting applications to:
- Arts Council England (National Lottery Project Grants & DYCP)
- National Lottery Heritage Fund
- PRS Foundation
- National Lottery Community Fund
We also support participants with long-term strategic funding approaches, helping you think beyond a single application and build a sustainable funding pathway for your work.
Why this is free?
Many arts funding workshops come with high participation fees, which often excludes the very people who need support the most.
At Disconnected Bodies, our priority is improving access to the arts. That includes helping creatives secure funding without financial barriers.
2025 impact
Disconnected Bodies has spent 20 years changing the face of cultural funding, combining deep sector knowledge with hands-on support.
In 2025 alone, we achieved:
- £2.5 million secured for artists and organisations
- 84% funding success rate
- 61 applications written
- 823 hours of free advice provided
We are also proud winners of the 2025 Arts and Culture Social Enterprise Award, recognising our commitment to equity and access in the cultural sector.
Independent advice you can trust
We are not affiliated with any funding body.
All advice provided is based solely on two decades of direct experience securing funding, giving you honest, practical guidance focused entirely on strengthening your application.
