ARTS & WITCHCRAFTS: Design Your Own Tarot Card — THE MAGICIAN
About this Event
Join us for an interactive, esoteric art class exploring the art and symbolism of The Magician, led by Cherokee Presley, and create your own unique, personal interpretation of the card to take home.
The Magician is a card of potential put into action—the power to take the tools, talents, and resources already at our disposal and use them to bring an idea into being. Rich with symbols of will, creativity, and manifestation, the card reminds us of our own capacity to shape possibility through intention and action.
We’ll dive deep into the meaning, history, and symbolism of The Magician, beginning with the imagery of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck before looking at the evolution of the card and the many ways artists have interpreted it over the years. Participants will then channel those ideas through their own unique viewpoint, brainstorming and creating an original version of The Magician to take home.
All levels of artistic ability and tarot knowledge are welcome. Blank tarot card templates and drawing materials will be provided, though guests are welcome to bring their own art supplies if they prefer.
Join us as we transform our practices and engage with Tarot in a new and profoundly personal way!
Tickets: $20 (in-person event only)

About Cherokee Presley
Cherokee Neas was raised by a family of artists who encouraged, or rather demanded, that she take art classes her entire life, starting from as early as she can remember. Now she primarily works as a photographer, stylist, and clothing designer, but also draws, writes, paints, sews, builds things, collages, and has dabbled in almost every medium of art. In 2023, she started a company to host metaphysical artist retreats, after realizing how many artists she knew were also interested in metaphysics and witchcraft, most of whom did not have a like minded community to share these interests with. In planning her retreat, she came up with more art activities than attendees would have time to do, and she had the idea to expand them into art classes that would be more accessible to the public. She has had a lifelong fascination with the occult, witchcraft, fairy tales, and folklore. She has studied astrology and tarot and is always trying to learn more.
