Artress Bethany White brings us her latest title, A Black Doe in the Anthropocene. Expanding on the historical narrative far beyond the Hairston plantation grounds, where her family worked as enslaved peoples, White examines the lives of freed people who emigrated back to Africa to reestablish as well as chronicling her own life in the US.
