Artists Talk New Botanical

This exhibition reimagines botanical art. Suzan Globus pounds flowers onto unprimed canvas; Daniel Sroka photographs seeds and pods small enough to hold in your hand; and Gao Yuan turns her photographs into sculpture. Kevin Hinkle and Ellen Martin create fused images of decaying flowers.
On Thursday, June 18, at 6:00 p.m., they will discuss what inspired them to push beyond the expectations of this venerable genre. Curator Ellen Martin will discuss her vision for the exhibition. The talk will be held at the Long Branch Arts and Cultural Center, 577 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ. The event is free and open to all.
The exhibition runs through June 30, 2026, and all works are available for purchase directly from the artists.
