All over the world, and over centuries, artists have painted, etched and carved trees and other plants, and used them in other art forms. Many of these plants can be found in the Wellington Botanic Gardens. On this 60-minute walk, starting at the Rose Garden fountain and ending at the founders’ entrance on Glenmore Street, we will look at those plants and pictures of the artworks related to them. Artists will include Claude Monet, Li Shan, Vincent van Gogh, and New Zealander Rita Angus.
