Get ready to rev up your creativity in this exciting and dynamic art workshop! In Artistic Hotrod Design, participants will explore the bold world of vintage hot rods as they design and create their own sleek automotive artwork using a variety of mixed media techniques.

Guided by instructor Cheryl Bielli, students will learn the fundamentals of automotive illustration—including shape, perspective, shadows and the reflective surfaces that give hot rods their trademark shine. Partial templates will be available to support accurate proportion and structure, while step‑by‑step demonstrations will help participants master techniques for depth, highlights and chrome‑like reflections.

Students may choose their preferred medium, such as watercolor, colored pencils or alcohol‑based markers, to build vibrant colors and smooth blending. Each artist will have the opportunity to customize features and decorative details, ensuring that every hot rod artwork is truly one‑of‑a‑kind.

This special workshop is inspired by the legendary Rolling Bones Hot Rods and held in memory of artist and hot rod designer Ken Schmidt (1946–2023), celebrating his passion for creativity, craftsmanship and automotive art.
