About this Event
In this session, Virginia-based artist Hampton Boyer will provide instruction on the key steps in building a sustainable body of work, including research, concept planning, and execution. The session will highlight the importance of due diligence and how it informs and strengthens the art-making process. The tools shared are designed to help participants develop grounded work and build greater confidence in their artistic practice.
Hampton Boyer is a visual artist, designer, and storyteller whose work bridges fine art, illustration, and cultural landscape. For the past 15 years, his practice has been defined by bold color, layered composition, and a deep focus of process driven work. He has exhibited nationally and internationally, including a 2022 solo exhibition with Omni Gallery in London. In 2024, his work was acquired by the Chrysler Museum of Art, further cementing his presence within art history.
Alongside his studio practice, Boyer has collaborated with global and cultural brands including Warby Parker, Starbucks, and I AM OTHER, merging his fine art sensibilities with commercial design. He is a co-founder of the Contemporary Arts Network (CAN), and a former board member of Studio Two Three, supporting art access and connections between creative communities
