Artist Talk ‘Drawing in dialogue’

The counterpart is central to Barbara Yelin’s work. Conversations, observations and encounters give rise to empathic portraits, comics reportage and graphic novels. Her most recent books, ‘Die Giehse’ and ‘Emmie Arbel. The Color of Memory’, tell stories about Jewish lives and bring little-noticed perspectives to the fore.
In a talk with curator Anette Gehrig, Barbara Yelin offers insight into her working methods: How is trust built? How does an encounter become a narrative? What possibilities does the drawn image offer?
In cooperation with the Jewish Museum, Omanut and Tachles as part of the Jewish Book Festival ‘Seferia’
Costs: CHF 20.– / 15.–
Limited spaces, please register ahead.
