Artist Talk with Nick Del Calzo: In Persuit of Inspirtion

Nick Del Calzo is an influential artist who has published four art books and has a permanent display of his photography hanging at the Pentagon, Westpoint and The U.S. Naval Academy. A Jewish philanthropist in Denver, where Nick used to live, bought all his Triumphant Spirit books available at that time, years ago, to then provide for free to public schools in the Denver area.

Mr. DelCalzo and his adult daughter, Joy, are launching a one-hour presentation including projected images called In Pursuit of Inspiration using Nick‘s photography to strengthen community.

Nick’s art honors people who have demonstrated extraordinary courage. He believes that we all know courageous people in our lives. The Holocaust Center for Humanity is proud to host this program with the intention of motivating our audience to find creative ways to elevate people in their lives.

Visitors are also welcome to pay as much as they are able in advance or at the door. Tickets are valid for admission throughout the day, 10am-4pm.

All bags are subject to search, and weapons of any type are strictly not allowed in the museum, including guns, knives (even pocket knives), and pepper spray.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The Holocaust Center for Humanity is located on the corner of 2nd Ave and Lenora St.

Street parking is available, but be advised that the 2-hour limit is strictly enforced.

Paid Parking Lots:

• Securities Building parking garage, access from 3rd or 4th Avenues between Virginia and Stewart
• Third & Stewart garage, access from Stewart between 2nd and 3rd.
• There is also paid and metered street parking.

Public Transit (You can find schedules, maps, and a trip planner on the King County Metro Transit website.)

• Nearby stops: 2nd Ave & Lenora St bus stop (on our block), 3rd Ave & Virginia St bus stop (one block away), Westlake Link Light Rail Station (five blocks away, on Pine St between 3rd & 4th Aves).
