Join us for an engaging discussion of the art of Joan Duff Bohrer with the artist herself, joined by Guest Curator, Marjorie Greene Graff.
Arts Educator and former DFAC Faculty, Duff Bohrer’s passion for artmaking continues into her ninth decade. Learn about the artist’s dedicated practice and her explorations in various media.
Abstract painter, ceramicist, fiber artist, journal-maker and true original, Joan Duff Bohrer has been represented as faculty and in many group exhibitions at DFAC but this is her first solo exhibition at 92. Join Guest Curator, Marjorie Greene Graff in this conversation between friends and artists discussing Joan’s life path, practice and inspirations.
Joan Duff Bohrer was raised in New Jersey, earned her undergraduate degree at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania and her master’s degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. She also did independent study at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. Until recently, she was a dual resident of Salem, NY and Dunedin, FL
Over the course of her life, Duff Bohrer taught art to all ages, including adult classes and workshops at DFAC. Her work appears in many private collections, and she is represented privately by Alison West Brown Gallery.
