Anoka, MN - The Jan Johansen Gallery of Rumriver Art Center is excited to announce a new art exhibition: Designing Women by artists Cherene Bebeau, Merry Conway, and Christine Tauer. On Saturday, August 9th from 2 pm - 4 pm the Jan Johansen Gallery will be hosting an opening reception for the show. On Saturday, August 16th at 2 pm Bebeau, Conway, and Tauer will be giving an artist talk. All events are free and open to the public.
Designing Women will exhibit the work from a trio of mixed media artists who all met at Rumriver Art Center as teachers and artists. This show is a celebration of their evolving artistic styles and a tribute to their art and growing friendships. The support they have gained from the Rumriver Art Center and each other is inspiring. Tauer comments, "We have formed lasting friendships that encourage each other to express ourselves in unique ways. I am always trying new things that will allow me to visualize what's in my head. It's important for women to grow together and support each other. It can make all the difference."
The exhibition will open August 9th and run until September 6th, 2025.
Rumriver Art Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
