Artist Talk: Artmaking in the Family
Schedule
Sat, 28 Mar, 2026 at 02:00 pm
UTC-04:00Location
14 Vernon St, Framingham, MA 01701-4783, United States | Framingham, MA
Come meet our two duos who collaborate within their family:
The Safarani Sisters, Bahareh and Farzaneh (Iranian, b. 1990)
The Safarani Sisters are interdisciplinary artists and identical twins who together explore the convergence of visual art, new media, and performance.
“The kind of collaboration we do is also very special as far as we are trying to understand ourselves through our works and on the other hand, we paint each other, so it is kind of a self-reflection that make our paintings mysterious and our collaboration unique.”
The Myth Makers, Donna Dodson and Andy Moerlein
Donna and Andy are married. Dodson takes inspiration from the mysterious nature of birds that sparks her imagination. Moerlein takes inspiration from events in the natural world that leave visual marks. Together, the works they make are monumental in scale, yet temporary in nature. Made from natural materials, they are site specific and respond to their local audience.
This Saturday artist talk is free to attend, and registration is requested.
