Beyond the Body: AI, Memory and Human Presence

Join us for an artist talk by Kawita Vatanajyankur on the occasion of her solo exhibition Tracing. Reflecting on the past decade of her practice, Vatanajyankur will discuss the evolution of her work through performance, video, and emerging technologies, examining the body as a site of labour, memory, and human presence.
The talk will be followed by a workshop on Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) with Henry Tan, Artistic Director of FREAK Lab Thailand, an interdisciplinary platform for art, science, and technology, and Pongsakorn Wechakarn, a biomedical engineer and creative technologist specializing in brain-computer interfaces. Bringing together artistic and scientific perspectives, they will introduce the principles and creative applications of EMS technology. A limited number of participants will have the opportunity to experience the system at a low electrical intensity following the signing of a consent form.
The event will be conducted in both English and Thai. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
