Anindita Dutta, born in Bihar, India, is a sculptor and performance artist currently based in the United States. She holds a BFA in sculpture from Visva Bharati University, India, an MA in sculpture/ceramics from Purdue University, USA, and an MFA in sculpture from the University of Iowa, USA. Anindita’s work has been exhibited both in the US and internationally, including at the Sean Kelly Gallery in New York; Fukuoka Asian Art Museum in Japan; Arthur M. Sackler Museum of Art and Archaeology in Beijing, China; and CAMAC in Marnay-sur-Seine, France. She has received numerous prestigious grants and fellowships, such as the TOY Fellow and the NXTHVN Fellowship in New Haven, CT, the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum Artist Residency Grant in Japan, the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, a residency at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and the UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for Artists Fellowship. In addition, her works are part of several esteemed collections, both here and abroad.
