About this Event
This special workshop brings together the beauty of ikebana with the charm of handcrafted ceramics. Using vessels specially made for this event by ceramic artist Mingyu Du, you will create a floral arrangement that responds to the shape, feeling, and character of each unique piece.
- Begin with a short introduction to ikebana and the design theme of the day, along with a presentation of the handcrafted vessels created especially for this workshop.
- Choose from a selection of one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces, each thoughtfully matched with flowers to suit its form and style.
- Create your own seasonal ikebana arrangement with step-by-step guidance, learning how line, balance, space, and form work together in a simple and elegant way.
- Enjoy a calm and creative experience where floral art and ceramics come together, making each arrangement feel personal and unique.
At the end of the workshop, you are welcome to take home the flowers from your arrangement. If you fall in love with the handcrafted vessel used in the session, it will also be available to purchase at a special event price.
