Please join us as Bisbee Books & Music welcomes back author Maria McShane to our Bisbee Artist Series.
Maria has always had a vivid imagination and has been writing ever since she could remember. Growing up in an old colonial home in New England, across from an old cemetery, was the beginning of inspiration for her stories. As much as the cemetery scared her, it fired her creativity and served as inspiration for her stories.
She loves hiking, the Red Sox, and if you haven’t guessed, English Bulldogs. She lives in the Southwestern United States with her husband. She’s hoping to retire and explore the countryside with her husband in an RV and a bulldog when the right one finds her.
She’s written many short stories over the years and a collection is her next endeavor.
Maria will be signing her debut novel: "The Reluctant Angel".

What’s the secret even your angel doesn’t know?
Maryah’s heart skipped a beat when she heard a voice. Footsteps sounded behind her. She turned to kneel, propping her arms on the sofa to push herself up on unsteady legs.
Her brother stood in his typical garb, sports team t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers. Danny stood near the window with the sunlight streaming around him, giving him an ethereal appearance.
She felt the blood drain from her face. “Is this a dream?” she wondered.
“I wish it were,” he said. “I died last night.”
