Artist of the Week: Amanda Fedewa
Amanda has called Alaska home for more than 12 years, drawing endless inspiration from the state's breathtaking landscapes, wildlife, and natural beauty. Her artwork reflects a deep appreciation for Alaska's wilderness, from vibrant northern lights and mountain scenes to iconic animals such as moose and bison.
Working across a variety of surfaces, Amanda enjoys painting on both canvas and custom wood cutouts. Many of her pieces are created on scroll-sawn shapes inspired by Alaska, including the state itself and native wildlife. Finished with epoxy coatings and ready for display, her works combine craftsmanship with a playful and creative approach to art.
Her exhibit features a collection of Alaska-inspired paintings on wood and canvas that celebrate the colors, animals, and landscapes that make Alaska so unique. Amanda approaches each piece intuitively, allowing creativity to guide the process and painting simply for the joy of creating.
