What is creative power to you?

Creative power is the human ability to imagine, solve, adapt, connect, and transform ideas into meaningful action.

The West Side of Chicago is rich with creative talent, imagination, and artistic expression. The 16th Street Art Board Walk is an opportunity to celebrate that talent and shine a light on the artists, stories, and creative contributions shaping our neighborhoods.

Join us for an afternoon of connection and celebration as we bring together the West Side artists featured in this project, community members, creatives, and supporters for an Artist Meet & Greet at the UIC Neighborhood Center.

Connect with participating artists, learn more about their work and creative practices, and celebrate the creative vision behind this project.

Following the meet and greet, we’ll walk together from the UIC Neighborhood Center to the Art Garden on 16th Street for an opportunity to experience the Street Art Board Walk up close and explore how to interact with the artwork throughout the space.

Come enjoy an afternoon of art, conversation, good food, beverages, and sounds as we celebrate the creative power of Chicago’s West Side!
