Richard tries to paint plein air as much as his can, working almost exclusively in soft pastels, his style, although loose and in parts abstracted, remains very much his interpretation of the subject. I love his bold use of colour and the movement in the artwork that's generated his use of mark making.
"Every time I pick up a pastel stick, I know it is going to lead me somewhere new and exciting. I hope you enjoy these pages, whether you are interested in buying a painting, booking a workshop or just looking for inspiration."
